Summer Sessions concerts to be hit by subway strikes

GLASGOW Subway workers are targeting thousands of music fans with strike action this summer in a bid to force transport bosses to back down.
Members of Unite have voted overwhelmingly for industrial action in a dispute with Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT).
More than 100 SPT staff are now set to walk out with the union looking to inflict maximum disruption on the subway system. Unite claims the strike action will bring the “clockwork orange” to a complete halt on four days in June - 21, 25, 27 and 28.
The strike dates will coincide with a series of Summer Sessions gigs at Bellahouston Park, starting with the Punk All Dayer on Saturday, June 21.
